Dr Brammer explained permutation testing this morning. I'm going to tell you about an implementation of a permutation test that is optimised for computational speed -- actually, most of my ten minutes is going to be spent setting up the problem in general, and I'm going to conclude with how we've made it practical using some finesse with data structures and algorithms.
