             Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is rapidly becoming
              the tool of choice for investigators in the clinical and cognitive
              neurosciences. We hope that this meeting will provide a forum for
              students and established researchers to learn about fMRI from experts
              in the field and to share their experiences in a collegial environment.
            This meeting is bringing together international experts from the
              United Kingdom; specifically, the Institute of Psychiatry (King's
              College London), Wellcome Department of Cognitive Neurology (University
              College London), University of Oxford and University of Cambridge;
              the National Institute of Mental Health, USA; and University of
              Toronto, Canada.
            The two days will consist of teaching sessions on basic principles
              and advanced topics in fMRI, in combination with student presentations.
              Students will have the opportunity to present their new research,
              both in-progress and recently completed projects. As students contribute
              greatly to research projects and yet rarely have the opportunity
              to make oral presentations at international meetings, we have aimed
              to provide them with this opportunity.
