istart, istop

send a `start' or `stop' command to the data logger

istart and istop send start (code 132) and stop (code 136) commands, respectively, to the ISCAN data logger via the serial port. These commands are useful in ascertaining that the ISCAN software has been correctly configured to take trigger input from the serial port.

istart and istop configure the serial port for eight data bits, one stop bit, and no parity (8N1), at a baud rate of 19200. If an expansion serial port (COM2) is installed, that port is used. Otherwise the base port (COM1) is used.
